If the power you require is 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5, your order will ship within 2-4 business days. If you require a magnification stronger than 2.5 (we can fill up to 3.0), or if you require quarter diopters, then your order will process at our optical lab and ship within 5-7 business days.
What comes with my Ottavo readers?
Along with your new Ottavo readers, you’ll receive a glasses pouch and a lens cleaning cloth.
Can I place my order over the phone?

What forms of payment do you accept?
Ottavo accepts all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept FSA cards.
Do you offer gift cards?
We unfortunately do not offer gift cards at this time, but our customer service team would be happy to help you place an order for a loved one.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping in the US, including Hawaii and Alaska, is free with every Ottavo order. We ship all US orders via USPS.
Do you ship internationally? How much does this cost?
We ship our readers anywhere in the world for $40.
Can I get my order expedited?
Although we currently do not offer the option for expedited orders, contact our customer service team and we’ll do what we can to get your Ottavo readers to you as soon as possible.
Returns and Exchanges
What is Ottavo’s return policy?
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return your Ottavo readers within thirty days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Contact our customer service team at 800-781-1578 or email@example.com to initiate your exchange or return.
I broke my readers. Can I get a new pair?

The lenses don’t feel right. Can I exchange them for another pair?
Ottavo readers were designed to fit all sizes, but if for some reason you’re uncomfortable with the fit, bring your readers to your optician for a quick adjustment and we’d be happy to cover the costs.
Am I allowed to exchange my glasses for another style or color?

What’s the strongest power Ottavo will fill?
We can fill readers up to a magnification of 3.0.
How do I know what power I need?
Print out a copy of our Reading Glasses Test to determine what power you’ll need in your readers. You can also obtain the power you need from your optician.
I need two different magnifications in my lenses…can you help?
Unfortunately, we do not offer this option at this time. However, we can send you a pair with plastic demo lenses, which your optician can replace with your existing optical prescription. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-781-1578, and we’d be happy to help.
Can I use these with contact lenses, or if I’ve had refractive surgery (i.e. LASIK)?
Yes, even if you wear contacts or if you’ve had refractive surgery, reading glasses are sometimes still necessary to correct near vision (especially for those over the age of 40).
Can you fill quarter diopters?
Yes, you will be able to select this option during checkout.
What does the Ottavo warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects for up to a year, including issues with lens coatings. However, this does not include accidental damage, wear from day-to-day use, lens scratches, or changes in prescription. Do you offer lens replacements?

How do I take care of my Ottavos?
We recommend keeping your Ottavo readers in their complimentary sleeve whenever they are not in use. To clean the lenses, use eyeglasses cleaner or warm, soapy water and dry with our provided lens cleaning cloth.
Do you accept vision insurance?
We currently only accept vision insurance in the form of FSA or HSA. For all other types of insurance, we’d be happy to provide you with an itemized receipt to be reimbursed by your insurance company. Send us an email at email@example.com to obtain your receipt.
Can I use my FSA/HSA to purchase reading glasses?
Yes, both readymade and prescription reading glasses can be purchased with your FSA or HSA.
What does Ottavo mean?
In Italian, Ottavo means eighth – another word for a perfect octave in musical terms. In other words, we’d like to think that we’re music for your eyes.
